Who braces suit
Most of our braces patients are 11 to 16, and most of the time it's a parent who calls first — usually after they notice their teenager has stopped smiling in photos, or a friend at school has just started treatment.
Braces are also a strong option for adults with crowding, gaps or a bite that has shifted over the years, particularly where the movement required is more than clear aligners can comfortably manage.

The process
How treatment runs, start to finish
No surprises — this is the same sequence for almost every case.
1. Assessment
We examine the teeth and bite, take the images we need, and talk through what's actually bothering you or your teenager.
2. Written plan and quote
You leave with the recommended approach, the expected timeframe, the total cost and the payment options in writing. No decision on the day.
3. Fitting
Brackets are placed and the first wire is fitted. Teeth commonly feel tender for a few days afterwards and soft foods help.
4. Adjustments
Short visits roughly every 6–8 weeks. We book these into Wednesday evenings or Saturday mornings where we can.
5. Removal and retainers
Braces come off and retainers go on. Wearing retainers as directed is what keeps the result.
Braces or clear aligners?
We show families both options at the assessment, with the cost and timeframe for each, rather than steering everyone to one product.
Braces are fixed, so they work whether or not a teenager remembers to do anything. Clear aligners are removable and far less visible, but only work while they're actually in the mouth — around 20–22 hours a day. For a self-conscious teen with the discipline for it, aligners can be excellent. For a busy 13-year-old, braces are often the more reliable choice.
Fitting treatment around school and work
We run late on Wednesdays until 7:30pm and open Saturday mornings, so appointments don't have to cost you a day of work or a day of school.
Adjustment appointments are short, and everything happens at one address in Endeavour Hills with free parking at the door — no driving into the city and no second practice to coordinate with.
